1. Introduction

Mahomet-Seymour Community Unit School District 3 (CUSD 3) invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit proposals for snow removal and salting services at the Middletown Prairie Elementary (MPE) campus located in Mahomet, Illinois. The district seeks a reliable vendor to ensure campus parking lots and walkways remain safe and accessible during winter weather conditions.

2. Scope of Work

The selected contractor will be responsible for snow removal and salting services at the MPE campus, which includes three parking lots. All lots must be cleared and treated prior to 6:00 AM on days when service is required.

• Snow Removal: Complete clearing of snow accumulation from all three parking lots.

• Salting: Application of salt or appropriate de-icing materials to ensure safe surfaces on all lots.

• Frequency: Services are to be provided as needed throughout the winter season.

3. Proposal Submission Requirements

Proposals must include the following:

• Pricing:

  • Submit pricing as a per-incident cost for both snow removal and salting services.

  • Clearly define any snow accumulation thresholds (e.g., inches of snow) that trigger service, and if an amount of snow triggers different pricing.

    • For example-Pricing for 1-3 inches, 4-6 inches, call back for drifting or secondary cleaning due to continued snow, or secondary salting due to refreezing or continued icy conditions.
      

• Insurance:

  • General Liability coverage of a minimum limit of 1,000,000 for each occurrence

  • General Aggregate coverage of a minimum limit of 2,000,000

  • Automotive Liability coverage of a minimum limit of 1,000,000
    

• Inventory and Resources:

  • List all vehicles and manpower resources available to perform snow removal and salting at the MPE campus.

    
    

• Pricing Structure:

  • Proposals with retainer or flat-rate pricing structures will not be considered.

4. Submission Instructions

Proposals must be submitted no later than 2:00 PM CST on November 6, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.

5. Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

• Pricing and value offered

• Ability to meet the required schedule

• Adequacy of insurance and safety coverage

• Availability of equipment and personnel
