At approximately 11 a.m. this morning Champaign police took a suspect into custody on Mahomet-Seymour High School property after a chase. Further details are unavailable at this time, as law enforcement is handling this investigation. A small number of students who were on site for athletic practices were secured and kept safe until the conclusion of the incident.
This is the old bell from Sangamon Elementary. It was carefully removed from tower and will have a new home at Middletown Prairie once construction is finished. Believed to date to late 1800’s. #gobulldogs

The Mahomet Seymour High School Future Business Leaders are excited to be kicking off their 19th Annual Toy drive next week. Beginning Monday, December 4, donations of New Toys, Same-as-new Toys, Hats, Scarves, Gloves, and Mittens will be collected at MPE, Sangamon, and Lincoln Trail to benefit Mahomet Helping Hands.
