Hello Bulldogs and families!  Stefani Piening is a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at both MPE and the Junior High.  This will be Mrs. Piening’s fourth year teaching at Mahomet-Seymour School District, previously having taught at Lincoln Public Schools in Nebraska. Mrs. Piening has a Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology from Rockhurst University and a Masters degree in Early Intervention in Deaf Education from Fontbonne University.

Mrs. Piening, her husband Kurt, their 22 month old daughter Audrey and soon to arrive baby Thea live in Peoria, IL.  In her free time, Mrs. Piening enjoys photography, reading, exercising, scrapbooking, traveling, meeting up with friends and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Piening grew up on an island outside of Seattle and loves to visit her parents when she can.  She can’t get enough of the ocean and mountains!

Mrs. Piening is absolutely thrilled to kick off the new school year and looks forward to seeing her returning students as well as meeting her new students. She has some incredible coworkers and cannot wait to spend time with them.  She wishes everyone a successful, healthy and awesome school year!
