Melinda Douglas is a Physical Education teacher at Middletown Prairie Elementary. She has been teaching in Mahomet for 13 years. She is married to her husband, Mark, and they have three children. They have an 8 year old daughter, Finley, who will be starting 3rd grade at St. Thomas in Philo. They have another daughter, Blake. She is 5 and will bring starting kindergarten this year. They also have a 2 year old son, Hudson, who is the life of the party!
Mrs. Douglas and her family like to spend time on the family farm, swimming, playing softball, cheering on the Cubs, and driving tractors and fork lifts!
Mrs. Douglas is very passionate about creating a fun and successful environment for kids to enjoy movement. She loves a good playlist in her gym for the kids to listen to. She teaches a variety of units, foundational locomotor skills, as well as strength and endurance activities for kids to improve their overall wellness.
Mrs. Douglas is looking forward to this fall. She is so excited to meet her new students and catch up with her returning kiddos.
